PATHOPHYSIOLOGICAL CHANGES IN THE URINE AND LIVER OF RATS DEPENDING ON THE DIET

Abstract: аn experimental study was carried out on 15 white laboratory rats. This work was carried out on rats of the outbred population of the Wistar line weighing from 150 to 170 grams with an age of one year. All animals were divided into 3 research subgroups (5 animals each): group I (control intact group), in which the diet did not change; group II (the first experimental group), included the rats’ diet, which for 3 months consisted of a predominance of carbohydrate foods; group III (the second experimental group) in which the diet of rats for 3 months consisted of protein foods. To evaluate the results, urine was collected from the animals for further determination of the content of glucose, protein, pH, and laparotomy was performed under ether anesthesia, followed by liver biopsy and histological verification. In the course of studies on laboratory animals, a model was created for the effect of the type of nutrition on the liver of rats.
