FEATURES OF SEXUAL IDENTIFICATION OF CHILDREN WITH MENTAL RETARDATION OF SENIOR PRESCHOOL AGE

Abstract: the article deals with the issues of sexual identification of children with mental retardation in senior preschool age. The beginning of the article describes the importance of personal development of a child with mental retardation, including the development of sexual identification. In the system of psychological assistance to children with mental retardation, the first place is not given to correction of the defect, but to the formation and development of the child’s personality. Further, the article describes the study itself with children of senior preschool age, 5-6 years old in game activities. Game is an activity in which the ability to identify is developed. A study of the features of sexual identification in children with mental retardation was conducted in the game. The experimental group consists of children of senior preschool age (6-7 years) with mental retardation and the control group consists of children of senior preschool age with normal course of mental development. In order to study the formation of those aspects of the self-image that are associated with the identification of gender and age, with the ability to build a time perspective, we conducted the N.L. Belopolskaya method “Gender and Age Identification”, an experimental game family and conversation. The article then describes the results of the study.
