STUDY OF THE VALUE ORIENTATION OF STUDENTS OF THE FACULTY OF FOREIGN LANGUAGES – FUTURE LECTURERS AND TEACHERS

Abstract: the purpose of the study is to identify the most relevant value orientations and trends among students, in order to discuss further the possibilities of forming new value orientations that correlate with pedagogical activity. The relationship of the teacher’s own value orientations with pedagogical values, as well as the material of the sample of research participants, are components of the scientific novelty of the work. Based on the results of the test, a rating of values is compiled and changes in value orientations are identified during the period of study at the university. The author concludes that students have such universal guidelines as health, family, and the absence of internal contradictions, harmony with themselves, while they have to state that they have no serious interest in the well-being of others.
