RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN COPYING STRATEGIES AND CHARACTERISTICS OF CHILD-PARENTAL INTERACTION IN EARLY YOUTH

Abstract: the important role of child-parental interaction in the formation of coping behavior of teenagers was noted. The researchers consider this age as an important stage in the formation of copying strategies, meanwhile the family can act as the most important resource of coping behavior. The perception of child-parental interaction is marked as the important aspect which is also a condition of internalizing the coping behavior of parents.

The relationship between the strategies of coping behavior and the perception of child-parental interaction between student in early youth was examined on a sample of 106 high school students in 10th and 11th grades of Irkutsk secondary school №39 and first-year students of the Pedagogical Institute, Irkutsk State University. According to the results of the study, the effective parents’ interaction according to the teenagers’ estimates promotes the formation of such a coping-strategy as self-control. And disharmonic interaction leads to the strategies of distance, the rejection from copings self-control, planning how to solve the problem and the acceptance of responsibility.
