Abstract: this article describes the results of the study, proving the influence of reflexive competence on the level of development of volitional qualities in adolescence. Also a theoretical analysis of the works of foreign and native scientists and psychologists on this topic was carried out. The mechanisms of development of the emotional-volitional sphere of a teenager and the levels of the formation of reflective competence are revealed.
