THE INFLUENCE OF EXAMINATION STRESS ON THE PSYCHOLOGICAL STATE OF FIRST-YEAR STUDENTS OF MEDICAL COLLEGE

Abstract: an analysis was made of the results of a study of the influence of psychological stress due to preparation for the examination session on the psychological and physiological state of 28 first-year students at a medical college at the beginning of the school year and before examination testing. The criteria for analysis were the dynamics of indicators of situational anxiety (Spilberger-Khanin test), well-being, activity and mood (WAM test). It was found that against the background of emotional stress before the examination session, situational anxiety increases. This leads to a violation of the psychological and physiological state of the body, depletion of its functional resources, decreased performance, memory impairment, concentration and increased fatigue. The results obtained indicate the need for the development and implementation of a program aimed at reducing the perception of psychological stressors during the school year, preparing for exams. In addition, it is necessary to conduct classes to increase resistance to psychological stress, given that the main factor in its implementation is emotional stress before exams, leading to a violation of the physiological and psychological state of the body as a whole.
