ADOLESCENT CYBERBULLING: STUDYING THE SOCIAL AND PSYCHOLOGICAL CONSEQUENCES

Abstract: the spread of the Internet and the increase in the number of electronic devices among young people has led to the problem of exacerbating virtual conflicts, lingering threats and aggressive relationships between teenagers.

The article presents the results of a study of the socio-psychological consequences of cyberbullying in adolescent victims. It was found that every third teenager (N=154) is subject to one or more types of bullying on the Internet. We identified the teenage victim of cyberbullying. The socio – psychological consequences of the use of information and communication technologies for deliberate, repeated and hostile behavior of a person or group aimed at insulting and humiliating another person are studied. These consequences include: low self-esteem, increased anxiety and isolation, a high level of social anxiety, which indicates difficulties in establishing contacts, fear of criticism and rejection from society. The results obtained in the study determine the strategy of purposeful psychological and pedagogical work on the organization of correction of the consequences of cyberbullying in the conditions of an educational organization.
