The paper describes person’s basic beliefs with regard to gender aspect, identifies and analyzes differences in the level of confidence in masculine, feminine and androgynous personality types. Based on the obtained data, it is concluded that gender can act as a predictor of person’s trust, determining its cognitive component. It was found that the moreexpressed the individual’s feminine traits, the higher the level of trust, and vice versa, the more expressed the masculine traits, the lower the level of trust, when person is convinced of ability to control the world around them. The authors note the complexity of concept of confidence, which consists of subjective and objective factors, the analysis of which can be considered as information tool for the development of society and social groups. This deprived feeling determines person’s social behavior, transforming psychological characteristics. At the same time, an increase in the level of confidence increases the security of individual’s living space. This influence is especially significant for adolescence, in the conditions of choosing a life path, when the level of psychological security of the individual, necessary for the development and success of personality in conditions of uncertainty, decreases.
