CONCEPTS OF PERSONAL SELF-DETERMINATION IN RUSSIAN PSYCHOLOGY

Abstract: the article studies the fundamental approaches to the scientific etymology of personal self-determination in the works of Russian psychologists. The concept of personal self-determination is described in the framework of the cultural-historical approach laid down in the works of L.S. Vygotsky. The methodological foundations of the psychological study of the problem of self-determination in the works of A.G. Asmolov, K.A. Abulkhanova-Slavskaya, L.I. Bozhovich, L.S. Vygotsky, M.R. Ginzburg, I.S. Kon, D.A. Leontiev, A.V. Petrovsky, A.A. Rean, S.L. Rubinstein, V.I. Slobodchikov, D.I. Feldstein and other domestic psychologists are revealed. The authors’ attention is focused on the main stages of the life path, where its definition by a developing person is especially relevant. This analysis of theoretical sources is carried out by the authors to determine strategies for studying the personal self-determination of students with disabilities in an inclusive educational space. The authors plan to justify  the choice of key factors and conditions of personal self-determination and its dynamics in the process of obtaining professional education of students with disabilities in higher education. The article emphasizes the importance of fundamental psychological research of the phenomenon of personal self-determination in the context of current issues.
