PSYCHOLOGICAL FEATURES OF THE INSTRUMENTAL VALUES IN THE VALUE-SENSE SPHERE STRUCTURE OF A PERSONALITY WITH DIFFERENT LEVELS OF INTERNET ACTIVITY

Abstract: this article analyzed the literature on the study of the value-semantic sphere of personality; described the value-semantic sphere as a means of allowing one to perceive selectively significant phenomena among information flows; analyzed the approach to the study of values as a structural component of the psyche, which determines the characteristics of interaction with other people; considered the value-semantic sphere as an ambivalent phenomenon, consisting of individual subjective values and values approved by society; analyzed the approach to the study of the value-semantic sphere of the personality as a phenomenon shaping orientations in a person’s understanding of the meaning of life and his attitude to other people; values are described as goals focused on satisfying biological and social needs; considered psychological features of instrumental values in the structure of the value-semantic sphere of the personality; described a number of such values as: accuracy, good breeding, high demands, cheerfulness, diligence, independence, intransigence to shortcomings in oneself and others, education, responsibility, rationalism, self-control, courage, strong will, tolerance, wide views, honesty, efficiency in deeds, sensitivity; presents the results of a study of the influence of the level of Internet activity of a person on the psychological characteristics of instrumental values of a person; described Internet activity as a psychological phenomenon; considered the levels of Internet activity of a person such as: passive, situational, active, overly active; analyzed each level of Internet activity according to qualitative and quantitative criteria for spending time on the Internet; identified a values, significance of which is growing along with the level of Internet activity of the individual; identified values, significance of which decreases with the growth of the level of Internet activity of the individual; identified values, significance of which does not depend on the level of Internet activity of the individual and remains unchanged for any of its manifestations.
